A&H: How would you describe your personal style?

Amanda Jane Jones: Pretty simple with splashes of color or vintage. My husband (Cree) and I made a goal to not buy any new clothes for an entire year. We’re on month eleven, and my wardrobe is dying for an update.

A&H: What is your most cherished item?

AJJ: Cree and I keep a blessing journal—each day we write a sentence or two about something we saw, heard, or felt. We’ve kept it for three years now and it brings me so much joy to read through.

A&H: Where is your favorite place to dine?

AJJ: We are currently living in Geneva, Switzerland, where the average dinner out costs $130 for two. Needless to say, we don’t eat out often. We are however lucky enough to live along the Rhone—the cleanest river I’ve ever seen. We pack our favorite cheeses, a baguette or two, some fruit, and head on over to the dock. It’s become a favorite evening tradition.

A&H: What is the best advice you’ve received from your parents?

AJJ: The day before I got married, my dad said, “99% of life is the mundane. Make sure to find joy in the 99%.”

A&H: What are you extremely passionate about?

AJJ: Travel.

A&H: What lady do you think embodies pure elegance and style?

AJJ: I’ve been a fan of Audrey Hepburn since I saw Roman Holiday. I think Francoise Hardy and her stripes are a close second.

A&H: What do you consider a staple in a lady’s wardrobe?

AJJ: A good haircut.
