“A Beauty Named…” is a new concept thought up to shine light on women we believe are stylish, interesting, and talented in their own unique way. They represent a rare group who value the smallest treasures in life, whether it is a good meal, small fashion accessory, or photograph that inspires. Audrey Hepburn said it best: “The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.”
Artist & Graphic Designer
How would you describe your personal style?
Bohemian Chic and Eclectic. I wear my mood starting with the color I’m feeling that day and mix in my accessories – for me, opposites attract like gold and silver.
It would have to be my mom’s St. John snake bracelet from the early 80s. I wear it everyday.
Where is your favorite place to dine?
Lucali Pizza in Carroll Gardens. This is where I bring friends to escape from the city. The way to do it is grab a bottle of vino, sit and sip outside on one of those Bill Cosby stoops until your table is ready, which is at least 2 hours. The whole experience has this European Romanticism vibe I absolutely adore.
What is the best advice you’ve received from your parents?
My dad is a man of few words, but the one thing I remember since I was a child is, “Your looks will fade, so it’s important you work hard in whatever path you choose. This is America you can do anything you want to do.”
And my mom, the classiest women I know, ” Always be a lady – speak and move softly, and make sure your nails are manicured at all times.”
What are you extremely passionate about?
Creating. Discovery. Sketchbooks. Color. Dancing. Scents.
What lady do you think embodies pure elegance and style?
What do you consider a staple in a lady’s wardrobe?
A chunky piece of jewelry.
