A Beauty Named is a new concept thought up to shine light on women we believe are stylish, interesting, and talented in their own unique way. They represent a rare group who value the smallest treasures in life, whether it is a good meal, small fashion accessory, or photograph that inspires. Audrey Hepburn said it best: “The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.”
My personal style is classic with a twist on trend. I believe in following trends that appeal to your personal style, but never sacrificing your unique style to follow a trend that isn’t you!
What is your most cherished item?
I’m extremely fond of a vintage Dolce & Gabanna pencil skirt I scored at a thrift store for under $30! It was an amazing find and it fits like a glove.
Where is your favorite place to dine?
I love Italian food, so any “hole in the wall/hidden jem” type of place, with amazing Chicken Parm. and yummy garlic bread I can dip in home-style marinara sauce is my kind of dining!
What is the best advice you’ve received from your parents?
“You can do anything you put your mind to.” I’m a true Pisces, and we’re known for being dreamers. I always had some master plan of all the things I wanted to do a be, and my parents always said I could do anything I put my mind to- they still tell me that, when I run my latest ideas by them on a weekly basis!
What are you extremely passionate about?
Helping girls and women through fashion, by spreading body-positivity and self-esteem through my blog. My life-long dream was to be a writer and a psychologist (specifically to adolescent girls dealing with Eating Disorders), and though I didn’t end-up in that career, my blog is allowing me to help so many girls and women around the world through my second passion, which is fashion and journalism. I never would’ve thought my passions could merge to create such a fulfilling hobby.
What lady do you think embodies pure elegance and style?
Olivia Palermo is always elegant and stylish, without trying too hard. She’s also sexy without revealing too much, which I admire, because a woman should be able to exude confidence and beauty without showing too much skin. It’s a powerful thing to still be sexy with all of your clothes on!
What do you consider a staple in a lady’s wardrobe?
A blazer, for sure. It can do wonderful things for your curves, or even create curves on a petite frame. It’s also the most versatile piece of clothing, because it can work with jeans & a tee, over a dress, or with a skirt.
