Man, I really like Vegas.” – Elvis Presley
After going to Vegas this past summer for Project Tradeshow, getting back to Entertainment Capital of the World has been a priority. What we found out this past summer is that theres much more to Vegas than casinos, however with so much to offer Vegas can seem a bit daunting. So the guys over at Kirvin Doak helped us sort through the bright lights and find out where to stay, eat and drink while in Vegas.
ARIA Resort & Casino’s guestrooms offer the most high-tech gadgets in the country, including Mobile Schmitts casino tablets in every room to play with. Guys can impress their gals with the touch of a button as the lights dim, curtains open to show off the view and music fills the air as they pop a bottle of champagne. Even a little pampering is available just for the guys. The Art of Shaving at Mandalay Place offers an incredible 45-minute Royal Shave. If you’ve never had a true old school shave you are doing yourself a disservice.
After we figure out where to lay our heads food is on the agenda and with James Beard Award-winning Chef Shawn McClain just opening the FIVE50 Pizza Bar, I think its safe to say were good. Conveniently located next to ARIA’s Race & Sports Book, this will be the perfect place for guys to grab a slice East Coast style pizza and will be able to choose form a bold selection of craft beers. Another great spot for food is Craftsteak at MGM Grand which = Scotch, steak, potatoes. The end.
Michael Mina a chef we got to know last year, has a great spot in Vegas called Pub 1842 which features a beer selection and innovative manly eats that will have guys racing back to Las Vegas to experience more. The James Beard Award-winning chef, blows away previous conceptions of pub grub with his culinary creativity. Such dishes like the Peanut Butter Crunch Burger topped with bacon jam, potato chips and pimento cheese will dazzle taste buds from the everyday eater to the discerning foodie. Pub 1842 boasts more than 40 American and international brews. Guys who saved room for desserts will clamor for the unique “Cake & Shake” dessert pairings like the sinfully tasty Apple Upside Down Cake with a gooey caramel glaze that comes with a Cinnamon Concrete shake.
Yes a guys guide that includes shopping. The Shops at Crystals offers the best of the best. Paul Smith, Brunello Cucinelli, Kiton and Loro Piana Crystals is like a who’s who of menswear. And don’t forget about Tourbillon, or Richard Mille a man wrist is just as important as the rest of the outfit.
