Breaking The Ice with Style

Men are from Mars, women are from Venus. It’s a comical way to explain the vast differences in how men and women think and act. But the truth of the matter is that men and women think differently. Women are emotional and thoughtful and men are more surface and obvious. I don’t mean this is a negative way, but its science. When a man sees a woman he sees her physicality, boobs, hips, eyes, and lips. When a woman sees a man, she pictures her potential mate. A man that dresses well is strong and confident. He takes care of himself and therefore can take care of her.

I must admit, I never really thought of it as simply as Mr. Nash puts it. But it’s true. Women have the advantage in this arena. It’s easy for women to accentuate her body or even disguise it with the use of Spanx, yoga pants, etc. etc. Men will see her body. However, women will see the subtle use of color in a pocket square. accessories with slight character and acknowledge the simple fact that you are wearing a well fitted suit, and just like that a conversation is struck.

If you’re on the prowl it’s important that you know your prey. A lion isn’t going to chase after a gazelle with night vision goggles; he’s going to wait till he’s distracted. Similarly, a man needs to understand that women are aware of details. Alexander said it more clearly then I’ve ever heard before. He explains the importance of using your attire as an icebreaker. If a women sees something she likes she will, more then likely, comment on it and poof you have yourself an opening without the use of a corny pick up line.
