Support is define in many ways. The Websters dictionary defines it as “supplying with things necessary to existence.” Nowadays that “thing” can be as simple as clicking the “Like” button or Retweet. Is that real support? Does this make it easier to support mediocrity?
This was the topic of a discussion I got into in another Marcus Troy Imeet session. I’m telling you guys these session are gold mines. You are really slipping if you haven’t got in on one. Now back to the topic. Support has become so easy to give now. However as Bryan from The Legends League, discussed in the imeet, we are giving a false sense of hope to the people we so called support. Sadly something as simple as clicking like or retweeting attaches our name to that product. Now ask yourself do you truly support or endorse that product? Would you spend money on it? Not because it is a friend or yours but because it is a a solid product.
Now if you don’t support the product do you have the balls to say so? Are you able to tell your friend that sucks, or are you afraid of being condemned as a “Hater”. A word thrown around way to much in this culture. What I’m getting to is take the support you give seriously. Think about what you attach your name to. It would be such a shame to allow a friend to go out and spend money and time on a product you know in your heart doesn’t measure up. However you give them the support they want just because you’re their friend.
Support is very valuable treat it as such. I would love to get you guys thoughts on this.
