Georgi Akirov , music lover and entrepreneur, believes in what he’s coined as the “Next Generation Lifestyle Hotel.” “You need space to build something very sincere and real,” Georgi says. Creating one-of-a-kind property throughout Europe and Israel, visionary and owner Georgi Akirov is changing the way we travel.
The Conservatorium Hotel in Museumplein, Amsterdam is located among some of the world’s most famous galleries and museums. This 129-room work of art is Amsterdam’s latest luxury hotel. The iconic building that once housed Amsterdam’s premier music conservatorium has completed a sophisticated transformation into the city’s most unique and fashionable hotel. Akirov appointed the Milan-based star architect Piero Lissoni to oversee the evolution of the property and combine a classic, contemporary aesthetic with the historic architecture of a building rich in heritage. Lissoni payed tribute to the building’s history while adding his own intimate touches. The glass-covered atrium and exposed beams add so much without taking away. Soothing classical music echoes through the vaulted ceilings paying tribute to the Conservatorium’s legacy. The result is a beautiful property that is perfectly situated in the cultural heartbeat of Amsterdam.
When traveling, where you lay your head at night means the world. Sometimes it is the difference between having an enjoyable trip and a trip where all you look forward to is turning the key to your own home. #WorkHardTravelWell
