H&M is turning a new page in the fashion industry. They are  teaming up with some of the biggest fashion houses in the world, producing looks any high-end boutique would admire. And yes, at a price that mainstream can finally afford. What may seem like “new news” to us all is actually not new at all. H&M has been teaming up with designers since 2004. They first teamed up with Karl Lagerfield followed by a string of work with Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Madonna, Roberto Cavalli, Comme des Garçons, Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin, Versace, Marni and David Beckham.

H&M isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon. This year they’ve teamed up with Belgian fashion house Maison Martin Margiela (you many know it from Kanye’s brief, “What’s that jacket, Margiela?) Thanks to H&M, everyone had the chance to feel like a hip-hop mogul for the time being. This week they announced their newest collaboration with yet another European designer, Givenchy. Speculations and sources continue to debate the collaboration, which is set to debut in store early 2013. My guess is as good as yours. But one thing I do know is that the line is sure to sell out quickly!

*Update: According to sources and a spokesperson for Givenchy, the collaboration is just a rumor. Sounds like it’s just a dream, for now!
