Sartorialism V

The last 4 editions of the Sartoralism series have been for the boys. This one is dedicated to the GIRLS!! I love vintage clothing, especially dresses.  So this is a 1960’s inspired outfit. I’ve shown different options for shoes and bags that can be mixed and matched. Also, the dress can be worn to a dinner party or even to work so I’ve shown different bags to incorporate depending on the event. Hope you like it.

1960’s Black cotton sailor dress- This beautiful dress can be worn to work, to a fancy dinner party or even a night on the town with the girls. $49.99 at

The black suede peep-toes with the eggplant accents are from Jessica Simpson’s collection, but I found them on zappos.comfor $98.95. Now I know that’s a little pricey but I think that if you fall in love with a shoe that you can get tons of use from the investment is worth it.

For those of you who are like me and try to stay away from wearing a 5 inch heel to work or for longer than an hour the black and white polka dot peep toe with maroon heel and bow are a more modest look. These Madden Girl pumps can also be found on for $54.95.

While researching styles from the 60’s I noticed they didn’t wear a lot of jewelry so I decided since we’re no longer in the 60’s I would still dress it up a bit with some headbands from forever21 for just $5.80. Choose the peach or the black depending on the shoes, they would both be fabulous.

Last but not least there’s the bags. First I’ve chosen a sexy silver clutch for the posh dinner party for $38. Then I chose the red satchel for $58 that would be great for work or a business meeting. Both from Urban Outfitters
