You May Try and Replicate These: Simon Miller

No, no. We aren’t talking about a bootleg jean (pardon the multiple puns here) We are talking about Simon Miller’s new work at Bergdorf Goodman. Yes, this is just the pinnacle of great denim, and yes, it is availble to you now.

The Simon Miller Replica is a series of vintage inspired jeans, individually hand distressed and produced in limited quantities. The collection utilizes a custom persimmon-treated 13.5 oz Japanese selvedge denim from Nihon Menpu mills and is constructed in Los Angeles with authentic sewing details including a deconstructed patch and advanced wash techniques. Each piece is finished with a waxed canvas label hand indigo dyed by Noon Design Studio in Los Angeles.

The project falls directly in-line with the Simon Miller brand’s interpretation of basics, clothing designed in reliable fits and aged with uniquely developed washed and unwashed treatments for a lived-in feel.

Look out for our project with Simon Miller in November’s edition entitled My One Pair.
